Dr. Mónica Treviño
I am a political scientist with over 20 years’ experience in research and evaluation of international development projects and programmes. Thematically, my work has particularly focused on human rights-based approaches, advocacy interventions, education and capacity-building, women’s rights promotion, institution strengthening, migration and protection, social movements, civil society, and the inclusion of historically marginalised groups, especially women and racialised minorities. I have a strong expertise in research methodologies and particularly in mixed methods research design, as well as in all aspects of evaluation, with extensive experience in multi-country project and programme evaluations and organisational assessments for a variety of clients.
Fully fluent in English, French and Spanish, with a strong command of Portuguese and a good knowledge of Russian, I have managed research and teaching teams in multicultural contexts, and have conducted numerous research and evaluation field missions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and the Middle East as well as Southeast Asia.
